Historic Prude
Ranch Continuing Education Programs
- The Prude Family has been at Prude
Ranch for over 100 years. Because of
all the teaching experience in the
many generations, the Prudes were
inspired to give students the
opportunity to learn in the
outdoors. The Prude Ranch Education
programs were begun in 1988 under
the approval of the Texas Education
Agency. New programs are added each
year to give the students a hands-on
learning experience. Prude Ranch
also serves as a training location
for The GLOBE Program that unites
teachers, students, and scientists
from around the world in study and
research about the dynamics of the
Earth’s Environments. For more
